David Rosenblad is a San Marcos-based singer-songwriter whose music blends folk, Americana, and quiet country storytelling with a warm, unpolished honesty. Known for his reflective lyrics and understated guitar work, David’s songs feel lived-in and personal - drawing listeners into moments of love, loss, and everyday grace. His live sets are intimate and grounded, making them a perfect fit for a relaxed, listening-room-style night at the Cantina.

His newest release, “Rise Up, Through Love,” is an activist love song rooted in hope, compassion, and collective responsibility. Inspired by rallies and civic moments over the past year, the song channels protest through positivity - choosing love, unity, and truth over division and chaos. With more songs in this series on the way, the track marks a powerful chapter in David Rosenblad’s work, blending heartfelt songwriting with a clear call to rise above fear and stay engaged with intention and care.

Sadie Wolfe is an Lockhart-based singer-songwriter known for her intimate vocals, thoughtful lyricism, and stripped-down sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal. Blending folk, Americana, and subtle country influences, her music creates the kind of atmosphere that invites you to slow down, lean in, and listen. Sadie’s live performances are heartfelt and unpretentious - perfect for an evening of good drinks, good company, and great music at Chaparral Cantina.

Chef Tony will be serving a Hot Chicken Tortilla Soup to warm your bones. We will have gifts under the tree with a special surprise raffle all night long supporting Caldwell County Food Bank. The heaters will be lit, the Holiday drink specials flowing, and warm cheer for all.

Highlighting the western stretch of Market Street - we are pleased to host Plum Creek Records as they take over the patio to share a diverse array of tunes for your Saturday morning pleasure. Peruse their records, grab a coffee & taco and stay for a margarita.

Join is for a short documentary by local film makers, Brandon and Jess. The short film is a surprise. The showing is free. And Chef Tony has created a mouth watering dinner special to pair with a Mexican Martini. 

Dinner Special: Sun Chicken with tomato, spinach, rich wine sauce, Spanish spices, served over roasted potatoes. A Spanish Cesar Salad with shaved manchego and a chorizo garlic chili oil. Paired with a Mexican Martini.

Vintage Pop Up by Memphis June, Mezcal & Tequila Tasting by Lost Explorer, Dinner Special by Chef Tony, Outdoor Patio bar for All!

We are honored to host musical guests 10,000 Bees - an American/Danish duo for a special evening of music & dinner. Two guitars, two voices, a little bass, foot pedal and percussion. It's country, folk, and Americana straight from the horses mouth. 

We will be serving a Dinner for Two of a Half Smoked Chicken, Rice & Beans, tortillas and a full tray of dipping sauces for $20. 

Wednesday only from 6pm-9pm. Music begins at 7pm. Free show with donations going directly to the traveling band. 

We will be ready to try all the best BBQ in Texas at this yearly event hosted by Texas Monthly magazine. Free event with live music, tastings, live fire demos, and more. We will be showcasing our Brisket Infused Old Fashioned at the Cantina!

Join us in our annual family friendly broom ride around the downtown square. We will gather at 7pm - come dressed in your witch costume, bring a broom or noise maker and at 7:30pm we will fly around the square. We will gather back at Chaparral for hot chocolate & treats for the kids and Black Magic Margaritas for the grown ups. Goblin Dance Party tunes provided by Jason Chronis (of Tellanovella). This is an event that’s not to be missed!

An intimate acoustic night filled with song swapping from locals Danny Lee (The Night Beats), Natalie Ribbons (TellaNovella), and Phil Hollie. All proceeds will go directly to the Caldwell County Homeless Coalition. Show starts at 8:45pm, arrive early to save your spot! $10 suggested donation (all going towards the Homeless Coalition).

Good Dog BINGO is a monthly event hosted by Mr. Brown’s Pet Stop and each month Jamee (the owner and host) raises money for a good cause - Kingdom Rescue. This month, Jamee is hosting BINGO at Chaparral Cantina. We are also honored to partner with local author Pagan Jackson who will be hosting a book signing of her book “Living with Pet Loss Grief”.
